Andrew is a Director of Austin Maynard Architects (AMA), a Melbourne-based studio - recently named Architecture Studio of The Year by Dezeen!
Happiness, fun, friends, family, ethics and sustainability are the core pillars of AMA.
Since launching in 2002, the firm has built an exciting and diverse portfolio and gained a reputation for boundless creative energy and designs that are well-conceived, playful and edgy.
AMA is not inhibited by building type but rather navigates residential, retail and commercial arenas and is rich in envelope-pushing conceptual designs. AMA explore architecture with enthusiasm; treating each project as a unique challenge, and working directly with clients and occupants, to offer individual possibilities and thoughtful responses to people, brief and place.
Andrew Maynard was a founding director and board member of Nightingale Housing, a social enterprise that existed to support, promote and advocate for high-quality housing that is ecologically, socially, and financially sustainable.
Andrew's project 'Parklife' has recently won a swathe of National and International awards for architecture, sustainability and urban design.

Adam is a Director of SJB - A leading Australian Architecture Studio. He is recognised as a thought-leader in mixed-use design. Adam’s buildings reflect his belief that architecture should provide an armature for community life; that the activities buildings facilitate are just as important as the physicality of the buildings themselves. His designs embody ambitions of beauty, delight, joy and surprise.
Adam is interested in what makes cities vibrant, connected and civic with particular expertise in urban density, multi-use residential and the intersection of public and private space. He is a Churchill Fellow who investigated alternatives to conventional models of urban design, resulting in a research project entitled ‘Shall We Dense,’ an examination into the state of modern density living in Australia that led to successful collaborations within the professional and architectural realms.
Adam's own home '19 Waterloo', built on a 30m2 footprint in Sydney, won the 2023 National AIA Award for Residential Architecture, and the 'Interior of The Year' at the INSIDE World Festival of Interiors.
